Unitarian Universalist Interim Minister

Sharing the journey with congregations in transition brings a special kind of challenge and excitement to the ministry.

In preparing for an interim or consulting ministry I’m reminded that it will be the best of times and it will be the worst of times. (my apologies to Charles Dickens for the adaptation) The departure of a settled minister or other significant transition is both exciting and distressing for members of the congregation. There are wonderful new possibilities on the horizon and a deep sense of change and loss as familiar patterns melt away.  The transition time is central to the long-term health and future of the church and you, leaders in that community, are charged with choosing a professional to guide the congregation through this time. Thank you for considering  me as you select that minister.

I bring nine years experience in settled ministry and more than eight years in interim and consulting ministry — years of worship, teaching, social witness, stewardship and pastoral connections. As an AIM (Accredited Interim Minister) I have chosen transitional  work as the focus of my ministry. On the following pages I invite you to get to know my style of ministry a little more fully. Please let me know if I can offer any other information during this process.

I look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the best as you take the next step in the life of your congregation.

Sincerely,
